Hey there. We're the Dalkes
AND WE BELIEVE YOUR MARRIAGE DOESN'T HAVE TO SUCK.
Actually, we know that your marriage can be the greatest blessing in your life.
But it'll take some intention and good work. We're passionate about helping couples create the marriage of their dreams.
We've spent the past 5+ years helping couples dream together and live with unity and purpose. We believe your marriage can leave a legacy worth copying.
HERE'S A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US
First of all, we are not counselors, therapists, or even marriage experts. We're just a couple of crazy kids who have been married for almost 20 years and have spent more than a decade working together in the business world. Like any marriage, our's has not always been the "dream marriage" that we both wanted.
We knew there had to be more to this life than mere survival. We needed vision! So, we took a weekend away to pray over each other, our marriage and our dreams, and God showed up. We began to have a vision for what He wanted us to be and do, and we have never looked back.
The last 19 years have been full and busy, and you better believe those years came with their fair share of ups and downs. We have 4 kids ranging in ages from 16-8. Together we've built up a successful direct sales business over the past 16 years. We also fostered for a few years (three babies that we absolutely loved) and sat together on the board of our favorite non-profit, Hope Link.
Together we've been hosting marriage retreats for the last 6 years. We feel called to create space for people to start dreaming bigger dreams, and put God-breathed life back into their marriages.
We love to travel, read, hike, cook, host, and go on big adventures together. We are big believers in working to live... not living to work.
A couple of years ago, we started chasing our own big dreams. We bought 50 acres in a little town in Oklahoma, sold our dream house, and moved our family into small-town life.
And while we're chasing kiddos to ball games and cheer competitions and school events, we're also chasing our own dreams.
After years of hosting marriage retreats in our last home and abroad in Mexico, we're currently building tiny cabins on our land that will be available for rent and for our retreats in the future.
We're also starting a flower farming operation in the Spring with an acre of cutting flowers and 3/4 of an acre of wildflowers. The Flower House at A Million Dreams Ranch will feature a Flower Stand, CSA (community supported agriculture) weekly bouquet subscriptions, workshops, events, and so much more.
Oh and we started a podcast! We've wanted a better way to share all we've learned about marriage, and while our retreats are on hold for the time being, we thought a podcast would be a great way to share what we know with whoever wants to listen.
So we hope you'll come dream with us. Whether you're newly married or you've been married for decades, it's never to early or too late to dream together.
